Childcare
Swedish Covenant Hospital has an on-site Child Care program and offers an approximate 10% discount to Swedish Covenant Hospital employees at our Child Care Center. The Child Care program uses the Montessori philosophy of education. Infant, toddler and kindergarten programs are available. The Child Care Center accepts children within the age range of 6 months to 6 years and is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Employee Assistance Program
Swedish Covenant Hospital offers an Employee Assistance program (EAP). This free, confidential service is available to Swedish Covenant Hospital employees and family members who want help with personal problems. EAP counseling services are available on the Swedish Covenant Hospital campus and throughout Chicago and the suburbs.
Sources Of Aliveness
The Sources of Aliveness program is a series of free educational programs for Swedish Covenant Hospital employees, which focuses on opportunities to add positive stress, joy and personal renewal to your life. The Sources of Aliveness committee provides a wide variety of topics to address the interests of employees. The Sources of Aliveness programs are typically offered in the afternoon and provide lunch or a snack to participants.
Pastoral Care
Swedish Covenant Hospital's Pastoral Care department is committed to the physical, mental and spiritual care of employees. Our staff chaplains are credentialed chaplains and trained to work with employees of all faiths. Chaplains are happy to talk with employees about personal concerns and can provide specific information about individual, marital or family counseling, and crisis caring. Pastoral Care can help connect employees with counseling and external resources, and is also available for in-services to departments as needed.
Wednesday Prayer and Healing Service
Staff and patients are invited to a Service of Prayer and Healing, which is held in the Chapel each Wednesday at noon. Upon request, a participant may be anointed with oil. You are also invited to share your prayer requests. These requests will be prayed for as received and included in the next Service of Prayer and Healing.

Swedish Covenant Hospital sells discounted movie tickets to AMC and Loews theaters. Buy discounted tickets for all of your favorite blockbuster movies. Employees and their families can enjoy the convenience of picking up the tickets in Human Resources.

Six Flags Great America is pure excitement for all ages. Swedish Covenant Hospital sells discounted tickets that allow you easy access to the park, where you can stroll through Great America's seven themed lands and experience state-of-the-art roller coasters, thrilling rides and spectacular shows and attractions.
Costco and Sam's Club Memberships
Employees can receive discounted memberships to Costco and Sam's Club wholesale clubs during twice yearly on-site enrollment meetings. Costco and Sam's Club offer member benefits on a variety of items, including technology, computers, cleaning supplies, groceries and clothing. Members also benefit from savings, including auto buying, travel services, Disney World vacation packages, cruises and many other exclusive member benefits.
Wisconsin Dells Discounts
Employees can save between 20 and 35% with Wisconsin Dells Passport savings. Discounts are valid for general admission of the entire group. Discounts also offer a 10% discount for lodging accommodations.

Employee Recognition
The Spirit of Service Excellence
Employees are invited to wear Swedish Covenant Hospital logo shirts on Fridays. The logo shirts are awarded through the Service Excellence program. Some of the ways you can win a logo item is by being the STAR employee of the month, becoming a "Trainer" in the Guest Relations program and many others. Employees can also purchase logo items in the hospital gift shop.
Employee Service Awards
The Swedish Covenant Hospital Employee Service Awards program recognizes dedicated employees. Every five years of employment, employees and guests are invited to a celebration in honor of their achievement. Each recognized employee is also able to select a gift as a token of the Hospital's appreciation for their dedication.
Holiday Meals and Parties
Swedish Covenant Hospital offers many celebrations during the holiday season. For the employees who are scheduled to work on the Thanksgiving holiday, the Hospital provides a free Thanksgiving dinner in the hospital cafeteria.
Managers help to provide a special December holiday celebration by serving employees and volunteers a fabulous holiday meal. The meal is free to all employees and offers a variety of menu options, including prime rib, vegetarian selections and wonderful desserts.
Swedish Covenant Hospital offers other celebrations throughout the calendar year. All employees are invited to participate in the festivities.
Birthday Celebration
Swedish Covenant Hospital celebrates your birthday by sending you a birthday card during your birth month with a coupon for a free lunch in the Hospital cafeteria.
Special Thanks and Recognition
The "Special Thanks and Recognition" (STAR) program recognizes employees who have demonstrated excellence, innovation in the workplace, compassion, caring and going the extra mile for customers. Any employee can be nominated to become a STAR. All employees are invited to attend the STAR program celebration each month. At the end of the year, all of the STAR employees are entered in the STAR Employee of the Year program, where the Employee of the Year can win a week of PTO accrual.
Warm Welcome for New Family
Swedish Covenant Hospital welcomes new babies by delivering a special blanket to the homes of our newest Swedish Covenant Hospital family members. When Human Resources is notified of a new birth, a welcome gift is sent to the home to warm and comfort the new baby.
Employee Event And Sport Ticket Raffle
All employees are eligible to participate in the monthly event and sport ticket raffle. The raffle is FREE to all employees. To enter, just complete a raffle ticket, including the specific event and date you would like to win, and drop it in the raffle box. The raffle tickets, listing of events, and box are located between the entrance and exit doors of the cafeteria. To allow everyone a fair chance of winning, employees can only enter one raffle ticket per month. Employees who enter more than one ticket or who have had disciplinary actions in the past 12 months will be ineligible for the raffle that month. Keep trying for new chances to win EVERY month!
